PURPOSE
Basaglar’s purpose is to help regulate your metabolism of glucose by targeting both your fat muscle and bones. This insulin allows to lower a diabetic’s blood sugar levels.
USES
Basaglar 100 Units/ml Cartridge is a long-acting type of insulin used to treat types 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus in both adults and children. It provides a steady level of insulin in the body for an entire day and helps control blood sugar levels. This helps to prevent complications of diabetes.
HOW DO YOU USE A BASAGLAR CARTRIDGE?
BASAGLAR is injected under the skin of your stomach area, buttocks, upper legs, or upper arms. Just be sure to use a different site each time you inject. Do not use BASAGLAR in an insulin pump or inject BASAGLAR into your vein.
DOSAGE

STORING BASAGLAR
Keep unopened cartridges in cool environment such as a refrigerator. Do not freeze your medication. Should the medication be frozen do not take it unless you speak to a licensed medical professional. When using your medication it can be stored at room temperature. Once the insulin has been used the shelf life becomes 28 days from the day it has been exposed to air. After 28 days the cartridge should be disposed of.
