Purpose of Relpax
Relpax is thought to reduce swelling of the blood vessels surrounding the brain. This swelling is associated with migraine attack headaches. Eletriptan blocks the release of substances from nerve endings that causes pain and other symptoms, such as nausea and sensitivity to light and noise. These effects are thought to contribute to the symptomatic relief of eletriptan.
Relpax Uses
Relpax is used to treat migraines and helps relieve headaches, pain, and other migraine symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound. Prompt treatment can help you return to your normal daily routine and reduce the need for other pain relievers. Eletriptan affects a certain natural substance (serotonin) that narrows blood vessels in the brain. It can also relieve pain by affecting certain nerves in the brain. Eletriptan does not prevent future migraine attacks or reduce the frequency of migraine attacks.
