Purpose of Tazorac Gel

Tazorac Gel is not for ophthalmic, oral, or vaginal use. Do not accidentally get Tazorac gel in your eyes, mouth, or other mucous membranes. If it adheres to mucous membranes, rinse thoroughly with water.

 Tazorac Gel Uses

This drug is used to treat certain skin conditions, including psoriasis, acne, and skin aging symptoms caused by sun damage (such as wrinkles and dark or light spots on the face). Different brands and strengths are approved for different uses, so be sure to check the brand and strength application for this drug. It is believed to work by affecting the growth of skin cells. For best results, this drug should be used with a comprehensive skin care regimen.

How do you use Tazorac Gel

Apply this medicine to the skin as directed by your doctor, usually once daily at bedtime. Wash hands after application, unless you are treating psoriasis. If you accidentally apply this medicine to an area that does not need treatment, wash it off to avoid skin irritation. Do not use this medicine on skin affected by cuts, abrasions, sunburns, or certain other skin conditions (eczema, seborrheic dermatitis). Do not get this medicine in your mouth or eyes. In this case, immediately rinse thoroughly with cold water.

If you are using this product to treat psoriasis, apply a thin film so that it covers only psoriatic plaques. If bathing or showering prior to application, ensure skin is dry before application. If using a moisturizer, apply it at least 1 hour before using this medicine.

Tazorac Gel Dosage

We recommend starting treatment with Tazorac Gel at 0.05% and increasing the strength to 0.1%. Apply a thin film (2 mg/cm²) of TAZORAC gel once daily in the evening, covering only psoriatic lesions of up to 20% of the body surface.

• Irritation
• Dryness

If you have any serious side effects such as skin rashes or cracks, skin discoloration, or bleeding, tell your doctor right away.

Severe allergic reactions to this drug are rare. However, if you experience symptoms of a serious allergic reaction such as rash, severe itching/swelling (especially on the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention immediately.

Tazorac Gel Storage

Store Tazorac at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). A deviation of 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F) is allowed. Keep out of reach of children.
