WHAT ARE CIPRODEX EAR DROPS?

CIPRODEX EAR DROPS contain ciprofloxacin as well as dexamethasone. Ciprofloxacin is a quinolone antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections. A corticosteroid is Dexamethasone. It inhibits the inflammatory effects of substances in the body.

USES

Ear infections caused by bacteria are treated with this medicine. It’s used to treat middle ear infections in children with ear tubes, as well as outer ear infections in children and adults (also known as swimmer’s ear). Ciprofloxacin (a quinolone-type antibiotic) and dexamethasone are combined in this medicine (an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid).

This ear drop reduces ear swelling and discomfort by inhibiting the growth of bacteria. Only bacterial ear infections are treated with this medicine. Other types of ear infections will not respond to this treatment. Antibiotics might lose their potency if they are used excessively or unnecessarily.
