Purpose of Nasacort

Nasacort contains a medicine called triamcinolone acetonide. It belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids. Nasacort works at the source to reduce inflammation and relieve allergic nasal congestion, sneezing, and itchy and runny noses. Nasacort is clearly not an antihistamine.

Nasacort Uses

Nasacort is used to prevent and treat seasonal and year-round allergic symptoms (such as stuffy/runny nose, itchy eyes/nose/throat, and sneezing). It works by reducing swelling (inflammation) of the nasal passages. Check the ingredients on the label, even if it’s already been used. Also, products with similar names may contain different ingredients intended for different purposes.

How do you use Nasacort

Do not spray this medicine on your eyes or mouth. Shake the nebulizer well before each use. Follow the package directions to properly prepare your spray.

Remove the protective cap before using the spray. Press one nostril closed with your finger. Tilt your head as directed and gently insert the nasal applicator into the other nostril. Firmly press the device to deliver the prescribed number of puffs. Do not spray directly on the middle wall of the nose (nasal septum). Breathe in slowly through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Put the cap back on the nasal aspirator. Do not blow your nose for 15 minutes after using this medicine
