Purpose of Naramig
Naramig is a migraine treatment marketed by GlaxoSmithKline. It is a selective 5-HT1 receptor subtype agonist. Patented in 1987 and approved for medical use in 1997.
Naramig Uses
Naramig tablets are used to relieve migraine attacks. It should not be used to prevent migraine attacks. Naramig tablets can be used for migraines with or without the so-called “aura”.
Migraines are thought to be caused by inflammation and dilation of certain blood vessels in the head. Naramig tablets work by returning these blood vessels to normal and relieving migraine symptoms. Naramig tablets are not effective for headaches other than migraines.
Naramig tablets are non-addictive.
How do you use Naramig
Naramig tablets should be taken as soon as possible after the onset of a migraine. Naramig Tablets should not be used for prophylaxis. Swallow Naramig tablets whole with water.
Naramig Dosage
The recommended dose of Naramig tablets is one 2.5mg tablet. The total dose should not exceed two 2.5mg tablets in 24 hours.
A second dose can be given if migraine symptoms recur after the first response, taken when there is at least 4 hours interval between two doses.
If the patient does not respond to her first dose of Naramig tablets, a second dose helps with the same attack.
Naramig Side Effects

Naramig Storage
Do not store Naramig above 30°C room temperature. Do not dispose of medication in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist about how to dispose of medicines that you no longer use.
